Web Services: LSU Overview

General Information

A Web service is a method of communications between two electronic devices over the World Wide Web. It is a software function provided at a network address over the web with the service always on as in the concept of utility computing. The following is a list of informational links for some common Web Services used on campus and within the LSU Community.

https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/products/

Note that Google now encompasses many previously independent Web Services, such as YouTube, Android, and reCAPTCHA.
